Pure Cotton Extra Deep Mattress Protector

I have bought many mattress protectors over the years and decided to pay a little more for better quality. I'm fed up with the elastic disintegrating after a couple of years on the cheap ones so hopefully this one will last longer. I am aware of our carbon footprint and I'm trying not to throw things away.

So many mattress protectors say 100% until you look at the filling material. This is perfect, with my wool duvet, naturally filled mattress and cotton sheets. Generous size which means it easy to fit, deep fitted sides rather than just corner straps. A quality finish. Wouldn’t hesitate to buy again.

We had previously bought M&S extra deep fitted sheets and were very impressed so decided to replace our worn polyester mattress protectors with the pure cotton ones. These should be better for breathability and cooler in summer. They were plenty deep enough for our mattresses and feel very comfortable. Despite being a little loose, they cause no problems and will probably shrink again after the 2nd wash. Wish we had found M&S's range sooner as we spend ages on the internet looking for a matching product.

I bought this to fit a new, very thick double mattress but this cover is too large in length and width by about 4" in each direction, so doesn't fit tightly.

I bought one a few months ago and was very pleased with it. This one I believe is a warmer one, for winter use. Also it tucks under the mattress well, much, much better than corner straps which are difficult to fit and are always pinging off.

Having bought a slippery heat regulating waterproof mattress protector, our previous standard cotton mix quilted undersheet slid around on it, as it had a synthetic backing. We ordered this hoping it would not have such a backing, and were very pleased to find it did not. It is 100% cotton, exactly as described, so did not slip over the undersheet. The deep cotton edges tuck well under the mattress, so everything stays in place! I like the fact it is pure cotton and so breathable. Being slightly generous is not an issue as it tucks down the sides well, and should it shrink slightly in the wash there is allowance for this. Very pleased.

Exactly what I was looking for, good fit, looks good.

As other reviewers have said, the product (single extra deep mattress protector) is over-sized for a UK single bed, but after I washed it as per instructions it shrank to the correct size. It is also very deep, but then so is my mattress so no problem there. It is "made in china" which I am not altogether happy about, and I don't remember seeing that in the product description. I think this info should be available to consumers for all products. I would like a filter for country of manufacture if possible.
