Memory Foam Contour 6cm Mattress Topper

This was ordered to make a rather firm sofa bed a bit softer for guests. Placed on the sofa surface, with a deep duvet type topper above, it really helped to make the bed more comfortable. The quality was very good and it'll be useful to be able to unzip the cover when needed for washing. I took one star off as it was slightly small in length for the double size but apart from that I'm pleased.

This topper is so comfortable. It moulds around your body without being over warm. I don’t want to leave it in the morning.

Having bought three M&S memory foam toppers over fairly recent years, with family members and I having always been satisfied, I’m really very surprised and disappointed that I could only tolerate three nights sleep on this one before banishing it to an infrequently used guest room. From the moment I lay on it, I felt myself roll towards the centre of the bed. I could barely turn, raise myself, or get out of bed without feeling it somewhat of an effort. After three nights of trying to get used to it, I noticed lower back pain developing and so that was that. No ifs, buts or maybe’s. The topper was clearly having an adverse effect on body mechanics and so time to ditch. The previous three purchased were approx 4cm in depth, of “egg box” type appearance and were placed on very high quality mattresses that were a tad too firm. Result? Instant improvement in comfort. The obvious difference between the previous purchases and this latest one are depth (now 6cm), appearance (now flat) and it being placed on an equally high quality but slightly softer tension mattress.

Bliss! I had bought a new firm mattress that is just too firm. Bed now transformed ,still firm but with a wonderful soft layer on top

I'm delighted with this mattress topper, I did lots of research but eventually opted for the M&S one, over a heavily marketed (and more expensive) alternative. I'm someone who rarely bothers to review products but felt this purchase deserved feedback.

Purchased to replace a similar one bought from M&S quite a few years ago. This one is just as comfortable but has straps to hold in place instead of a complete cover which tucks under the mattress. I would recommend it to anyone with aching joints as it does alleviate the pressure.

At short notice I had to switch from a kingsize bed to a single to accommodate a hospital bed for my husband. The only single beds I had were storabeds for children visitors and too hard for my arthritic hip and knee. My daughter suggested a mattress topper while I waited for my new bed. What a revelation. The bed is now so very comfortable. I cannot believe the difference it has made. I was concerned that it would also make the bed very hot but I can't say that I have noticed any difference. I don't really need that new bed now but it does mean more comfortable nights for my small visitors. I will have to buy a second topper for the other bed!

Perfect topper, deep enough to cushion my injured hip, yet I don't overheat. I aired it for a few days before use as initially it was slightly slippery with a slight chemical smell but this went. I washed the cover and it dried well before use. I'm just grateful to have found a decent topper which will hopefully last some time before it flattens.

Why cant i see the mattress topper before i buy it? And i cant feel it without opening it, which means i cant send it back.... the topper is ok but this 'takeit on trust' policy by m&s annoys me alot
