I have bought this skirt for the last 4 years for my daughter . This year I ordered 4 on line as my youngest has also just moved up to high school. 3 out of the 4 were of terrible quality. One bobbled after the first wear and 2 of them after one wear had the stitching round the waste band come undone. These skirts are thin and flimsy. I believe M&S are using 3 different suppliers for this skirt. The 3 skirts I returned were all from the same supplier. I think you need to change your supplier. These skirts previously were of a fantastic qualify, stayed put, didn’t ride up. Didn’t bobble or fall apart. Luckily for me, I have a number of the older skirts that I can use until I find a suitable alternative for my daughters. These are the older skirts that were of a far superior quality.

My daughter wanted a decent length grown up looking skirt to move to Sixth Form Grammar school. She’s 5”8 and a size 10. This skirt fits on the large size we bought age 15-16 and a 29” and 31” we kept the 15-16 for a tight fit the others just hung off her like a sack, the material is very thin not brilliant quality, so I’d say overpriced. If we’d had the ability to shop around we probably wouldn’t have gone for this

My daughter loves these skirts! I ordered a new one as she's finally outgrown the one I bought her a year ago - it washed like a dream and was highly durable. The skirts fit well and aren't too baggy around the waist - something that seems to happen with less stretchy items. It's great vaule for money and a staple in her wardrobe. An absolute must-buy for tweenies or teens. Thanks M&S!

Bought this for my daughter as 'everyone' wears them. I didn't want it too short as my daughter is tall. The longer length was perfect. She loved it and started to model it straightaway, even her teacher complimented her.

THIS SKIRT IS SO TIGHT THAT DAUGHTER COULD NOT WALK IN IT AND IT WOULD RIDE UP, SO SHE HAD TO KEEP PULLING IT DOWN, WHICH IS ANNOYING AND THEN IT SHRANK WITH ONE WASH. WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO M&S QUALITY, IT'S NOT THE SAME ANYMORE.

Have ordered this skirt for years. You have the original style in store but when ordered you receive a totally different skirt. The material and design have changed. The material is thinner and looks cheap and instead of 2 panels at the side of the skirt it has one seam other side so it sticks out when on. Will not be buying another more.
