Smart for school and pretty enough to please my granddaughter! I bought a size up as she is very tall, but the waistband can easily be adjusted quite a lot, so it fits her well.

I’ve got a very slim, average height 10 yr old and I cannot buy skirts without waist adjusters. This is the primary reason I chose this skirt but it is nice quality (it doesn’t need to be gathered in too much, as this can often make a garment appear out of shape and result in it being returned), well made and washes and dries well; it doesn’t need ironing, which is another plus. My daughter likes the small embroidered pockets, although they don’t fit more than a tissue (and they have to be checked for stuff before laundering). I bought the age ten and it fits well with a bit of added length so will undoubtedly see her through next year too.
