These trousers are very disappointing. The material is rough and poor quality. They crease easily in the wash. After just 2-3 washes parts have faded pale stripes… no belt loops either.

Poor quality but fit well.

Very rough cotton which makes my daughter’s legs itch. I thought they would be similar to the trousers I’ve bought the last 2 years but these aren’t anywhere near the same quality. I used one pair on her to see if she liked the material after I had washed it, and she said her legs itched all day. Will probably return the other 4 pairs I bought and look for something else

Not impressed with all the " slim fit/slim leg" tr
I wish there was a " normal fit" trousers. All the school trousers that I can see are slim fit..I've had to go up a couple of sizes so that they are comfortable on the legs. Please bear in mind that students are pretty much sitting all day in these.

My grand daughter is tall but very slim. Length was perfect and waist corrected with the side buttons that adjust the waist sizing. Excellent.

Not the good quality they used to be

I bought these trousers for my daughter. She does not like the material of the 2 pack trousers. In these new trousers, the difference is just 2% elastane lycra. These trousers are much thinner than before. Also the pocket design was changed, now the pocket design is the same as 2 pack trousers. I do not think the price of these trousers are justified to compare with 2 pack trousers.

Average trousers

These trousers are ok, i think the fabric is thin and rough. One wash so far and they have washed ok. Have previously bought m&s school trousers which were a much nicer quality but they seem to be no longer available.

We have always bought this style of trousers from M&S but they are no longer the quality they used to be. They are ridiculously long so we took them up, then they shrank in the wash. The material also rubbed my daughter's legs sore on first wear (they were emergency replacements so she wore them straightaway before washing). For these reasons I recommend washing before wearing or adjusting the length! I would have returned them but was desperate and mid school year there is little availability of sensible shaped trousers like this that aren't effectively leggings.

Smart school trousers

Good quality trousers, made from material which is nice to touch. These conform with the school policy of 'no skinny trousers'. Initially bought a size as per the size guide, which turned out to be far too big. Return to a local M&S was easy, and a smaller pair arrived quickly. I'm glad the waistband is adjustable and that there is extra 3cm in length for the future.

One pair in the two pair pack

Only one pair in the parcel and the fabric of the pair we did receive was quite thin. As this pair didn't fit we returned it for a refund.
