Nice shape leg, my daughter is on the small size so these are quite flattering on her and slightly more stylish than some.

Strange shape

No, I don't recommend this
Although these trousers have adjustable waists it completely changes the shape making the crotch area baggy with excess material not flattering at all.

Good length and size

Bought these for my 7 year old daughter. She's fairly tall and slim and the age 7-8 are a good fit when pulled in. Not super tight on the legs but thats how she wants them.

Trousers are fine. They have a little bit of stretch but the quality is not as good as ones I have bought from M&S in the past. Material used to be thicker & overall a better quality.

I love these trousers

These trousers look great and very fashionable. I like the idea that they can be tightened or let out ad the child gets bigger. There are also provisions to let the legs down as your child gets taller.

They fit my very skinny child

They fit my very skinny child without the fabric folding over on the back. She isn't complaining about the material being scratchy, and it has the all-important fastener a clip, not a button. All the buttons were too tight to use, and at 12, you really need to be able to use it alone. Of all the many things my child complains about, the trousers aren't one of them.

Nice trouser but bigger fit

My daughter had thought the super skinny too narrow on the leg so we tried these but the cut meant were a bigger fit generally and so we had to return. Probably true to size for age but we had sized up as the bigger size was needed for the super skinny and so unfortunately had to return. She really likes having proper pockets and they are nice trousers.

Low rise waist a drawback

Daughter didn’t like the low rise waist. Shame as otherwise trousers were lovely

I gave these 2 stars because I love the hem which you can take down, this was great for my daughter who is tall however, the fabric is awful. I can’t believe M&S would expect students to wear these. My daughter refuses to wear them without leggings underneath because they’re so uncomfortably scratchy/thin and stiff even after washing. I’ve noticed this in a few different shops recently but expected more from school trousers from M&S! Great design but terrible quality.
