Hastings Salt & Pepper Mills

Replacement for another set that were poor at grinding.

These salt and pepper mills not only look good but they work really well too. Also very easy to refill.

Rubbish . They look nice but the salt pot doesn’t work , the pepper one is not bad . As all the packaging and receipt etc had been discarded, I couldn’t return.

Have had these before and was very happy with them; so ordered a new set. Just wondered why the grinding mechanism was different in the salt from the pepper this time.

Love these S&P mills they look classy my only grumble is the salt seems to drop out of the bottom when I store it in cupboard maybe the holes are too big. Both easy to grind tho.

Just arrived this morning. Promptly put in my peppercorns and sea salt.. they grind beautifully.. perfect middle priced item if you don't want the really cheap ones or the really expensive ones with a battery in. And they look lovely as well, very pleased I bought them and they are not too big to sit inside the cupboard on the shelf.. be nice to have more items in the range.. something to put utensils in perhaps or stand the kitchen roll on?

These salt & pepper mills are perfect! Very easy to put the salt and pepper in each mill and assemble, and they grind well for my needs. Also the perfect size for me, and good value for money!

This is not a very good product. The cylinders which turn the mill rattle and I’m not secured particularly family. Add to this fact that the salt mill cannot grind salt meant for kind is it renders the product pretty useless. I will not be shopping at Marks & Spencer‘s in the future for homework as clearly the quality is not up to my expectations or the expectations I would imagine of M&S

Not good. Of course they look fabulous, but the salt grinder simply doesn't work. Grinder mechanism made of some kind of plastics, and nothing comes through once you put the top on and turn it (tried three times with varying degrees of loose or tight screw). Design fault, it seems. Grinders should both be ceramic, if they are to be durable, or else ceramic for salt and steel for pepper. Unfortunately the poor quality here was reflected in the low price. Pity, as nice design. Sent back for a full refund.
