When I saw this on the website I thought it was strange but looking at it,it makes sense no bending down to read the measurements. I did think when ordering that it would be glass. But plastic is fine.

Great handle grip, and easy enough to read. However as someone who traditionaly would use a glass jug (but needed a quick replacement), I find the body of this thinner than expected and do wonder at the longevity of the item. It's a reasonable item for price, but with the environmental impact in mind I will be returning to my glass jugs once this has worn out.

This jug is an absolute game changer - I wanted something more lightweight to replace my Pyrex 1 litre jug. This is far superior in more than just the weight differential. The handle is super-comfy but the difference in 'pour' was an unexpected delight... for years I have tried to get a consistent good pour from the Pyrex jug but the failure rate was annoyingly high especially when the jug was filled to maximum and it was always a two handed job with one hand stabilising the underneath. I now have two of the 1 Litre OXO jugs and bought this 500ML one for my mum who is equally delighted and will be purchasing the bigger size too. Highly recommend this great product and well done M&S for stocking the item and at a competitive price!!!

I am very pleased with this measuring jug. It has a large easy grip handle and easy to read measurements. However, the markings on the side and inside are slightly out of sync.
