Tri Ply 28cm Large Sauté Pan

I bought this for when my kitchen is completed so I have not used it yet. It’s a bit heavy but very sturdy I am going to get the matching pans too as the quality looks very good.

I bought this pan as needed new pans for induction. This works a treat and cooks brilliantly like the others in this triply range. Because it is so effective you need to come down on the heat settings quickly after your food has heated if you are cooking curry etc. Main issue is the base, I would have preferred it to be smooth like the pans. I don’t think it gives additional functionality but does increase the work of cleaning. Need brush and limescale remover to get in the ridges, not easily cleaned in dishwasher. Pan handles are fine on induction- they do not overheat in most types of cooking. I just need more triply pans/ flat griddles that now go across zones as do large amount of cooking!

Originally looking to buy a wok, but this large pan is a good substitute, as it can also be used for other cooking methods like frying and poaching. Quite heavy, but hopefully this means that it will prove to be durable as well as practical.

A good solid piece of kit, at a fraction of the price of the French and Belgian made equivalents, of which I have both. At the end of the day it will produce the same quality of food, for the average cook. Unless you are a Michelin starred chef?

This product is lovely big overall but a useful family size the delivery was quicker than advised I am very happyi haven’t used it yet but will look forward to doing so

Really disappointed and upset as the description stated the Large Sauté Pan was non-stick. My mum has the same pan (and same set of pans all brought three months ago) hers Sauté Pan is non-stick inside - she checked for me as I was unsure because of previous reviews and pictures... The wording has now been changed since I brought it to now state "non-stick cooking" but I do think this is still a little misleading M&S. Positives: Good sizes, well made and washes well (just remember to put some water in it when you finish cooking, so any remanence does not stick before you do the washing up). Negatives: It isn't non-stick.

I purchased this pan along with a set of saucepans and another frying pan. I agree with previous reviews which stated that they can be a bit heavy when full, therefore probably not good for people with problems with strength in their hands and lifting. Only real issues are that the pans are not not non stick ( frying eggs not good). Also unable to get a small non stick milk pan, always out of stock. Would be useful if they had non stick small frying pan and small roasting tin. Therefore very disappointing that I couldn't get a complete matching set. Would probably not have purchased if I had been aware of the limited matching items.

Only used once so far, but a pleasure to use. food cooked evenly, non stick and easy to clean. Also, I think it looks good.

Bought specifically for use on induction hob. Looked good, nice heavy steel, perfect size, but all three handles got extremely hot so I had to use oven gloves even to lift the lid. On first use the food stuck to the base even though there was plenty of oil in the pan and it was only on medium heat. Loosened up during cooking and cleaned up after soaking in soapy water but has stained quite badly inside. It’s supposed to be stainless steel so it’s chiefly for this reason that I’ll be taking it back. Disappointed. Obviously I’m unable to comment on durability and I never use metal utensils or harsh cleansers on shiny steel so can’t comment on scratch resistance either. I was not happy about buying online but you’ve closed my local store.

Just what I was looking for. When my 3 year old expensive non stick saute pan gave up the ghost I wanted to find an alternative without the non-stick coating. I'm really glad I chose this pan. It looks great, cooks evenly ( the base is a revelation!) and cleans like new. Couldn't be happier. I'll definitely be looking to replace my old pans with equivalents in this range. Yes, it's heavy but I that's what you get with stainless steel. It more than makes up for that with it's versatility. Thank you M & S!
