Star Print Waisted Mini Dress

This was not for me at all. It did not suit my body shape at all. I sent it back.

I've had a lot of compliments when wearing this dress and I love a star print. It can easily be dressed up or down depending on the occasion, and is a nice weight for our current good weather. It is a little see through in certain lights but nothing some neutral coloured underwear can't fix!

Thought this dress looked pretty but at as a larger lady I haven’t bought a ‘mini’ dress in years but was so taken with the colour and pattern. I read the reviews and assumed it would probably go straight back but am thrilled with it. I don’t do white dresses so love the warm pale grey background and the blue stars break up the colour. With a drawstring waist I can make it as fitted as I like. Arms are tight which lots have said about and this is not a new problem for M&S so it would be nice if this could be sorted for new products coming through! I’m 5.3 and it sits just above my knee. Lovely light fabric perfect fit the summer. Can go a size smaller so if they don’t have your size still give it a go. Well done M&S!!

I needed some new summer dresses, and like the look of this shape (not too high necked, waisted and no ruffles etc). The material is fine and the pattern is attractive. It comes up big so I’d sized down to get a good fit. Lovely and cool in warm weather, and not too short being on the knee (I’m 5’4). I’m a bit reticent about washing it after previous reviews, so I may hand wash / cold cycle it as it looks like it’ll dry very quickly. I do think it was about £10 overpriced for the quality of the fabric though, so I was glad to use a 20% offer to purchase it.

Loved this dress and got lots of compliments when I wore it. Sadly I only wore it once. It shrank by at least 2 inches all round after the first wash. Pretty little dress and generous in size (pre shrinking). I'd say a little skimpy in the arm, could do with it being a wee bit bigger at the cuff and I don't think I have particularly chubby upper arms. Good length on me (5'8"). I'm normally between sizes but went for the larger size on this occasion. Even with a large bust as it's not tailored round your middle you could easily get away with the size down and especially so if between sizes. As it was so large the drawstring waist didn't really create any definition. Absolutely gutted it shrank and it was to the point the dress was a little tight so Iwouldn't risk buying another one given the dark blue one with flowers in the same style did the same thing. Despite the pale colour I didn't feel it was see through and you could probably wear in cooler weather with some tights and a cardi. If it had not shrunk in wash I'd still say it's rather expensive for the fabric. I've got much more tailored (and lined) dresses for a similar amount. I did wear it to work but it's more a smart/casual dress and as such it feels slightly overpriced.

Love it will wear if we get some sun, not a huge fan of the material and fit is a bit poor I would say this is more beach dress or cover up. Nice colour and design though would look good with platform sandals.

Awful colour, dreary off- white, which on a shapeless dress does it no favours.

Great simple dress that I will get loads of wear from. Nice fabric, comfy loose design and really good price. Washes well and easy to iron.

I was surprised by the colour as had ordered online, the dress is dark beige with a browny/grey hue. The stars are navy with a light blue border. The fabric is thin and floaty and fine for hot weather. I’m 5’7” and the size 8 length came to just above my knee. It’s a good dress for simply throwing on with flip flops or trainers on a hot summers day.
