Pure Cotton Printed Midi Smock Dress

Lovely dress. Perfect for summer. Good fit. Good length.

I wasn’t sure when trying the dress on I’m normally a size 14-16 I ended up trying a twelve which had I kept that was the size for me ! but there was just too much material in the bottom half I looked huge, there is something seriously wrong with the sizing issue M&S. I have the same issues with trousers, nightmare never know what size to order.

After looking at other reviews I decided to go down a size to 10. Although the pattern of the dress was lovely I had to return it as it was like a tent. Didn’t look like on the pictured model on the website.

Excellent summer dress. I ordered the green and wasn't sure if it would work as the belt tie is very thin and other reviewers had mentioned it didn't flatter them. But I loved the print and weight – perfect for holidays and tropical days in the UK – so tried it with the belt tied and untied. Then tried it with the belt tied loosely at the back. Bingo! Looks really cool and summery and I shall enjoy floating around in it on my next holiday.

I bought the grass green one and I bought it because I love the colour and the pattern. The cotton fabric is very pleasant on the skin. Initially I bought the petite size 12, and it was ok, just I’m going to wear it with a leather belt and it didn’t feel right. In the end I had to change it for a regular 12. M&S very understanding and refunded the delivery cost as well.

Loved the idea of a pure cotton, midi dress with sleeves. Liked fabric when it arrived but was looking for a dress, rather than a tent. Sorry was another return.

Lovely light cotton dress for summer in a great shade of green. Size down for a better fit, still enough room left for relaxed fit.

I ordered the green one, and when it arrived I loved the colour, the fabric and the pattern. However when I tried it on it was so shapeless. I ordered a size down but it was still tent like and the thin cotton tie belt did nothing for me - made me look like a sack of potatoes! Needless to say it will be returned.
