Linen Striped Belted Midi Shirt Dress

THIS CLASSIC STYLE SHIRTWAISTER LOOKED A WINNER IN THE PICTUES ON LINE. IN FACT THE CUT AND STYLE WAS REALLY ODD. I AM SIZE 12 BUT READING REVIEWS LED ME TO ORDER A SIZE LESS IE SIZE 10 REGULAR LENGTH. I COULD GATHER 10 INCHES IN ROUND MY WAIST AND IT WAS ALMOST ANKLE LENGHTH ( I AM 55FT 41/2 INCHES. IT LOOKED LIKE A TENT ON ME, EVEN WITH THE FABRIC BELT IN USE! I WAS VERY DISSAPOINTED AND RETURNED IT. M&S SEEM TO BE ADJUSTING THEIR SIZES FOR SOME REASON. I AM 75 AND HAVE WORN SIZE 12 SINCE AGE 18. PLEASE LOOK AGAIN AT YOUR SIZING.

Lovely cool material and good deep pink. Have not washed yet but should wash o.k I am 5'6 and ordered a Regular which came halfway down my calf so was plenty long enough

It was a nice dress but too big on me, so had to return it.

My third bargain of the day! Perfect length to wear with flats. Great sale price. Would definitely recommend.

All good no real issues. If anything negative it is maybe a bit longer than I would normally buy. Fabric is good quality. I have not washed it yet. Creases iron out OK. Comfortable to wear. I would recommend purchase.

Perfect day dress in linen and refreshing colour. The fit is perfect more colours would be nice too. Excellent delivery too

This is a really lovely summer dress and the colour is great. I ordered the long length which made it sit nicely at just below the knee and it doesn’t ride up when you sit down. The fit is slightly bigger than my size but once the belt is tied it is perfect. Smart enough for work and summer parties too.

I normally go for blue, but this is perfect for a change, it's not pink either! The quality and fit are both perfect, but I still had to cut off 3.5" and made it below the knee. I'm 5'7&1/2" otherwise it came half way down my calf. I don't know how well it'll wash as I haven't yet worn it, but hopefully it should wash well and not shrink, being linen mix. It's nicely flared and would also look good with a jumper over the top. Yes, I'm delighted with this and look forward to getting plenty of wear out of it. I might even be tempted to get the other one which is white with a blue stripe. It had a good reduction on it as well which was the final temptation!

The dress is well made and the material is good quality, excellent value if it had fit well. It Is a god fit in terms of size but is made for someone very tall. It came down to my ankles and the waist was very low. Pity there isn't a petite version. The colour is described as coral but it is actually bright pink.
