Linen Belted Midi Shirt Dress

Lovely dress. The linen is a good quality and the dress fits well. Would recommend.

My previous brushes with linen have never ended well. I always end up looking like a dish rag by the end of the day. This dress looked promising. Well styled but wrinkled and needed an iron before wearing. So far it met expectations, after all, a home delivery of linen is unlikely to arrive pristine. My first thought was the weight. For a simmer dress this feels heavy. Perhaps that's to aid wrinkling? Alas no. The belt is flimsy and was quickly replaced with a leather one. By the end of an afternoon shopping I realised this dress is better suited to cooler days. As for the creases in the linen? This dress is definitely not my unicorn dress and was suitably dish rag like when I took it off. A fair effort, but could do better.

It's 50% plus linen so it does crease, but in an acceptable way, not as bad as pure linen. The style is very good, it can be dressed up,with different belts. I'm 5'4" size 14 and it was a comfortable fit, plenty of room which you need in hot weather, length was midi, I ordered regular length. A useful addition to the summer wardrobe. Might be nice in khaki as well.

This dress was just too big for me. I really need this in a petite size. Had the dress fitted it would have been a great staple, & super value, addition to my summer wardrobe.

I love shirt dresses but usually find that the top is too tight and gapes and the skirt is too full adding too many inches on me at only 5' 2" ! this dress is perfect no gaping, slightly too long but fine with heels.

Useful dress nice fit and length, Arrived quite creased so I hope it is easy to iron when I get around to wearing it.

Bought this one and the navy one, very pleased with both. I got the longer length as I like dresses past my knees. Very pleased with this dress, just need some nice weather.

I love a belted shirt dress and went for my usual Size 14, regular length. The dress fitted fine on the top half but there is an awful lot of material in the lower half ! My personal feeling is this dress was a little too long for a regular and far to much material from the waist down.

Great style but material looked like sacking cloth and it was so big .. if you like the look size down!

If this dress had been presented to me well pressed and on a wooden hanger I'd have thought it was much more expensive than it actually is...I think that this dress is well designed, well made and is made from a good quality fabric, which I feel will last for years..The fit on me is perfect, I couldn't be happier...I'm 5'4" tall and the length of the regular dress comes between mid to lower calf, I love it.. I'm size 14 at the moment and this dress could've been made for me..There seems to be a bit more thought gone into the design of this dress, it had two darts in the back waist area which give a beautifully soft, fitted look so that it doesn't bunch over the bum area, but not so much that it feels formal. It has two generous pockets in the side seams..I'm wearing it with three buttons undone and the collar open.. I might swap the belt over for a plaited, dark brown one which will take it to a whole, new level...I haven't washed it yet as it only arrived yesterday but I can't see that there'd be any problems at all...I'm so happy with this dress that I've ordered another in the navy colour..Give the designer of this dress a raise M&S, don't let them go..

This dress was a perfect fit on the shoulders and across the bust with no gaping. It lost a point because it was too large across the hips so I had to send it back.

Great dress; fits so well, looks lovely with gold sandals for summer, when it comes. Haven’t worn it yet, but I know it will be a smart addition to my wardrobe .

Nice shirt dress and I like the quality of the fabric. I will be altering it to fit me better by removing the belt and taking it in on the side seams-it will then be more A line. The current waist is too high for me and the dress would be far too short with the belt tied. Not a bad price using a £10 reward voucher so happy to do the alterations to get what I want.
