Soft to the touch, however very large. I like my night wear on the generous side, but this was huge.

This is made of lovely very soft fabric. It is far bigger than size 8 and very long - so I'm afraid I returned it for a refund. Very disappointing.

I bought this for my elderly mother who spends a lot of time in bed. It is lovely and soft so very comfortable for her to wear. Washes well too.

I bought this during the sale, ordering my usual size 14, but it was huge and also rather mumsy. I had to return it.

Bought this nightie for my elderly mother. Went down a size after reading other reviews and it was perfect. Because of the style it is very roomy, just what she wanted. Washed before she wore it and it was nice and soft.

Having read other reviews I dropped TWO sizes down. Still so big. I am a size 12 and big busted and the size 8 was huge. Also like others found the style frumpy!, so returned item.

After reading reviews and others saying this comes up big I ordered smaller size even though I usually find M&S clothing tight and go for bigger size. However, even at the smaller I found this very roomy. Nice nightie though and I figured I didn't really want it tighter so kept it. I would say to others though, this is bigger and also longer than expected so bear this in mind when ordering.

Soft knitted cotton but unfortunately too large - the design with pleated front makes this nightgown very large - would advise going down a size - will have to return mine for a 16 having purchase size 18 but nice quality and good value.
