I bit the bullet, and upgraded to 50 inch waist Chinos, ordered online and delivered to my local M&S foodshop. Well, I suppose it has to be said: convenient, prompt (next day by noon), roomy, and an all around satisfactory retail experience. This was my first online purchase from M&S, and I feel quite gently handled.

Not sure what has happened recently with the trouser cuts but recently have had to return numerous pairs due to sizes, I am a 46 waist so ordered 46, no good although I know I am definitely a 46 ordered 48 no good finally ordered a 50 okay but only just.

Good quality, if a bit stiff to start with. Sizing is accurate, but they are very tightly cut waist to crotch, inappropriate to the 48 inch wasit size.

Great to find casual trousers that aren’t jeans with 35 inch length. Navy is very dark, almost black unless in bright light (which is what I wanted). Very pleased with this purchase.
