Straight Leg Trousers with Stretch

I ordered 2 pairs of these trousers, 1 in black and 1 in navy. After reading the reviews I ordered a size 16 instead of my usual size 14 as people said you need to size up. I received the order in 2 parts. The black one's arrived and I tried them on and they wouldn't go anywhere near me. The following day the navy pair arrived and still they wouldn't fit but were definitely a bit larger than the first pair. Such a shame because the trousers were made from a lovely material. I really don't know what is happening to the sizing of clothes, especially the trousers. So unfortunately I returned both pairs. I always order online as I never leave the house apart from hospital appointments. I've shopped with M & S for almost 50 years and can remember how generous the sizes were back then. If you were a 14 you could get a 12. Sadly things have changed over the years. Please M & S get your act together with the companies that make your clothes.

I brought these for my very tall and slim teenage daughter for school. Getting trousers that fit her nicely has always been a struggle but these fit perfectly. For reference, she’s around 5 ft 9 and a size 6. Great quality and they wash and dry well.

I love these trousers. The material feels good quality and they look smart for work yet could be worn for all sorts of occasions. I prefer to wear a belt so the belt loops are great as it can be tricky to find trousers with belt loops sometimes. These look great with smart loafers.

Feel really confident wearing these even though I’ve got a mid-life saggy butt! Look really smart, wash well, good length (not too long can still see my shoes).

I ordered 2 different sizes as I am finding M & S clothes seem to vary in fitting far more than they used to. The 14 short we’re my best fit. The fabric was quite thin but suits this time of year.

I own these trousers in 3 colours (black, grey and ecru). The black is by far my favourite, I own a pair in regular length to wear with flats/small heel and the long length for my higher heels. Perfect trouser for work, amazing quality and the elasticated waist leaves them feeling comfortable and there is a belt loop. I am 5 ft 6 and wear a size 10. Fit perfectly, would highly recommend!

Bought these trousers to have something a little smarter than my usual hiking style attire. The fit is okay, however they just don't look great on me, partly because of being vertically challenged (under 5 ft).I will hang on to them for now as they fulfil the smarter trouser role,

Works as a basic that works for a variety of needs. Good value.
