Split Front Straight Midi Skirt

I bought this skirt in the sale, its the second one I ordered, the first one, arrived really creased, not a good start. I'm please to say the second one was much better. The fit and colour are good. Happy

I love this skirt. But for a pear shape 18 + it was cut too straight around thighs so I had to go up a size and could only get it in black . The lavender colour was gorgeous. I would love to see more longer length a line skirts The only thing is that the material is quite creasy. But I do love it

I bought this skirt online and thought it would be made of a thicker material. But it's very thin and unlined and I wasn't really sure what to wear it with on top. Dark tops looked too heavy for a lightweight skirt and it's difficult to match the colour. I thought the style of the skirt was quite formal and it doesn't suit casual tops. I returned it but may well try the black version as I think it would be a useful skirt for work in the hot weather.

I totally agree with a previous reviewer, this fabric is really cheap and I am surprised M&S would sell such poor quality. Please go back to the quality crepe you sold in the past. The style is lovely just totally let down by the fabric.

I bought this in a size 14 and I could have gone down a size. It came very creased and I thought the material was at fault as it was a crepe type. I returned although I did like the colour which was a shade of grape

Love the colour and hoped that this would be similar to a rather good skirt from 3 years ago - sad to say it is not and the problem is the very thin floppy cheap looking fabric that has no body to it. The back panel was a different shade to the front, made in Bangladesh with poor standard stitching on the waist. Sizing was skimpy so suggest sizing up if not sure, again length not given but on the ones I received the standard length was 31" from underneath the waistband and the long length was 34". The style would have been great with a better fabric and better make quality, M&S please focus on better quality as many of your would be customers do not want items that look more suited to a market stall. Please redo this style in better fabrics and more lengths.

This makes such a lovely change from all those pleasted skirts I have. I tried this on along with the floral version. Such a flattering style. And this isn't a colour that frequents my wardrobe, so it makes a welcome change. Straight and sleek in well-draping fabric. There are two slits at the front which are just enough to elevate this pencil skirt to stylish and chic. I'm just peeved that the black in my size is sold out on line!
