I loved nearly everything about this dress and it fitted true to size , which in my case, was size10 petite ; but as noted by other customers, the frill around the middle sticks out rather than lying flat and looks odd and not flattering at all. But , I liked the dress so much that I decided to keep it and will try to sort the frill out by putting a stitch in here and there to make it lie flat.

There are so many things to love about this dress. It's cotton, which is difficult to find. It's a wonderful bright colour. It fits me perfectly and is very comfortable. The price is fair for a beautifully made cotton dress.

Petite sizes

I purchased this dress on line in a petite size. When I tried the dress on it fitted well, but reached my feet. I have had to shorten the length of the last two frills to make it a reasonable length. At one time M& S petite sizes covered up to 5ft 3ins sizes, and I used to be able to find a dress that was a good length. Today M&S only seem concerned about regular sizes assuming that we are all over 5ft 4ins.

I would have preferred the green/blue however there were none available online or in store. That said the yellow is lovely and summery. With the lining on the skirt it does make this feel heavy and warm, however it does look nice on.

The quality and style of this dress is amazing. Soft cotton and a vibrant colour. It really is a beautiful dress and a great price point considering the quality It’s a joy to wear. I’m only 5ft but it’s not too long unlike many other dresses that I cannot purchase if no petite option . Would be fabulous in plain vibrant colours or even black or white.

I was drawn to this dress because of the cut , colour, I have actually ordered the blue one as well once back in stock . The fit ( size 8 ) is perfect, the frill around the waist is only minimally sticking out on mine 😁 but I have decided to return it as it’s fully lined and quite fitted so I think even in normal summer temperatures would be a bit uncomfortable. However a beautiful dress , great cotton fabric , ( don’t like viscose for summer if possible) , and great price !

Ordered a few dresses and kept this one. Lovely colour the yellow is very vibrant. Good length im 5ft five and most dresses touch my feet which on some styles is not a good look. Material good quality.

I bought this dress to take on holiday. I didn’t want it too long so I ordered an eight petite. I’m normally a six regular. I was absolutely delighted when I saw it. A perfect fit and so bright and summery. Great value for money and it is fully lined too.

I ordered a size 14 tall in this dress, I liked the style of it and the length, just wasn’t sure about the colour yellow. The same style dress is available in blue which I would have preferred, but unfortunately it is only available in a regular length and not tall. I’m so pleased M and S have a tall range in dresses, I just wish they would have t shirts and tops in a longer length too as everything this year seems to be cropped.

Dress was a beautiful colour, lovely style and length. The only thing that let it down was the silly frill around the middle which stuck out on movement or if you lifted your arms up. I still decided to keep the dress as thought it was pretty and summery
