Best coat/mac I’ve had in years. Feels designer. I am 5ft 6in and it comes up big, but because of the pleat at the back was able downsized x 2 so the sleeve length is at my wrist. If you’re tall you might prefer to downsize x 1, so you get the full effect of the swing, which I miss.

This comes up big! I ordered three times to get the right size, but well worth the drama. It's a beauty. The fabric is a good thick cotton and the tiny black/navy/green check is versatile and very pretty. Nice lining and the buttons are properly finished. Press studs to the pockets are a great safety detail. The arms are on the long side, but I'm happy to leave them as they are or just tuck them in if too intrusive. The back pleat is a lovely detail and was the clincher for me. This one will last for years.

Sleeves too large

I love the green check BUT, the sleeves are simply too voluminous (and long) for my not very tall shape. Also the pleat at the back doesn't really sit very well. A shame as I welcome an input of coats that are not incredibly narrow at the hips but this just didn't really suit me.

Was looking for an oversize car coat to wear during the transition between autumn and winter and beyond. This Autograph one fits the bill with its subtle check and fabulous quality. Can’t wait to wear it with jeans, knits, dresses, layers, boots, trainers. Temperature taken off again but it will change soon enough.

Love this coat. It is a great style and lightweight. So easy to wear for all modes of travel. It’s loose fitting so can layer up on particular cold days. Sleeves are quite long (but I don’t mind for the colder months). I would normally by petite but M&S don’t do such a range in Autograph. It would be great if you did.
