Hump not attractive

Lovely dress but unfortunately the zip was too heavy for the fabric on the back and caused the material to balloon out at the back. Had to return.

I have this dress in green, which I prefer. The only let down is the fact the material isn’t all black so it looks abit washed out and fluffy

Cheap Material

Cheap, bobbly material. Far too expensive for what it is. Even at the discounted price.

Such a flattering dress, beautifully made, although like the pictures it is more maxi than midi on me at 5’4

I bought the original of this dress in 1974 in Dickens & Jones in Regent Street, London. It was designed by Jean Muir, a fabulous designer, who sadly died too young. It was normal length and made of a lovely teal colour heavy silky jersey which hung beautifully. It cost me nearly a month's wages, but worth every penny and I loved it. So imagine my delight when it turned up branded as Jaeger on the M&S website (the dress is classed as from the Jaeger archive and in her later years Jean Muir did a yearly collection for Jaeger, but I don’t think this dress was part of it). I couldn’t wait to buy it and although it’s now maxi length and the material is not as luxurious, the design is exactly the same, and just as elegant but in a more casual way. It hangs beautifully due to the fact that it is well cut and the material not skimped and is very flattering to all shapes. It would be great if M&S could reproduce the original in time for the Christmas party season, but I guess that is a big ask for this year?

I’m 5 7 and not as long on me as the pic, not flattering style at top for larger bust. Nice material

Have been unable to try this dress on as the two button holes are not big enough to be able to open the back of the dress, so will be returning to store.

Lovely dress but the zip is too heavy for the fabric, it protrudes & looks weird

Very flattering on full figure

I am quite curvy and this dress fits and looks great on. The material is a good quality jersey - not flimsy - and it drapes well hiding the unflattering bits while enhancing my figure. I swing between a size 16 and 18 in dresses. This one was perfect in size 16.
