Cake Stand

Don’t worry about ordering this online it was very well packed and arrived in perfect condition. Nice, but too big and heavy for what I was looking for. My fault, I didn’t look at the measurements properly.

Its a lovely piece and a really nice size to display cakes. The only flaw is that the cake stand itself has a bubble in the middle so more delicate cakes tend to break when sitting directly on top.

bought this as a gift and recipient was very happy with it, its a lovely centrepiece and fits lots of pastries.

A handsome centrepiece to any dining table or kitchen counter. The size of the dome lid is great for accommodating big cakes, lots of fruit, cheeses, flower displays etc. The pedestal stand feels nicely weighted and chunky. The downside is the round edge of the lid feels a bit delicate, almost like the glass is a bit thinner. I'm really careful to place the lid on the plate very gently, being careful not to accidentally clang it on the raised lip of the plate, as it feels like the rim of the lid would chip or crack really easily. It's a shame it is not made with a rubber ring around the base of the lid to protect it. I'm not sure I would re-buy it or recommend it purely for this reason.

I hesitated before ordering as I noted a previous customer received theirs broken. I have just taken delivery of my cake stand which was packaged perfectly. It has just travelled to the Inner Hebrides and I am so thrilled with it I am off to bake a cake so I can use it. Full marks M&S.
