Flexifit™ Lace Non Wired Post Surgery Bra A-E

I’ve got a few mastectomy bras but they don’t really support the existing boob but this is great plus I love the lacy bit which will show under low cut stuff great bra great fit

I had no idea how difficult finding a suitable post surgery bra was going to be, so many retailers advertise bras as post-surgery I thought it would be easy enough until I actually had to find one to wear after my double mastectomy, no reconstruction. This bra is certainly very pretty and the lace insert between the cups is a great addition because the scarring would be visible otherwise. However, simply adding cups for prostheses to a regular bra does not make it a post surgery bra. For several weeks after surgery the whole chest area is very sensitive and a lot more needs to be taken into consideration. The straps on this bra are no wider than on any of my old, regular bras but silicon prostheses are actually quite heavy so when you put them into the bra there is a fair bit of weight pulling on your shoulders so the straps need to be wider to be truly comfortable. Similarly the under bust band is no wider or softer than on a normal bra and when you add the silicon and take into account there is no actual bust to secure the under band, the bra rides up at the back due to the weight at the front. I will definitely wear this bra once I'm fully healed but if you are looking for a bra to wear immediately post surgery this isn't going to work. Bra manufacturers have a way to go and need to take a lot more into consideration before advertising a bra as post-surgery. For this reason I have not recommended this bra, I will wear it and it is pretty and well made but the advertising is misleading

I bought this for a friend, who has recently had a mastectomy - she loves the feminine design and jade colour. She does suffer from itchy/sensitive skin but says it's really comfortable and holds the falsie well. Thank you M&S!

Bought this recently as I liked the colour but unfortunately the fit is very poor and when is the problem of post surgery bras that ride up going to be solved? The fabric is very flimsy. Bought in the same size as my other bra which fits perfectly so what are you supposed to do?

Nice, pretty bra. Good fit. A little difficult to put my prosthesis into the pocket, but otherwise perfect.
