Create a warming environment
Autumn is here, the season of soft golden light, crisp leaves and conker collecting. You might be enjoying the still-mild weather, but darker, shorter, colder days are looming on the horizon so start thinking about turning your home into a cosy haven.
Start by layering lighting to create a warming, atmospheric space. Add table lamps and floor lamps to create different zones for reading and relaxing and use a dimmer to soften overhead lights. Embrace candlelight by investing in a few rustic candle holders for your home and let the warm glow of flickering candlelight make rooms feel cosy and inviting.
Refresh your home fragrance by swapping summer scents for warm, wintry fragrances. Create a sense of cosiness with candles and diffusers from our Warmth Apothecary collection.

Add tactile textures
Invest in blankets, throws and cushions in varying textures to add a luxurious cosiness to your downtime. Make sofas, chairs and beds even more inviting by mixing and matching materials: think knitted or velvet cushions, fleece and faux-fur throws that are made for autumnal nesting.
Switch up your bedding and replace summer bed linen with soft fleece bedding and a winter-warmth duvet to turn your bed into a cosy sleep sanctuary. Look for a duvet with a rating of at least 10-13 togs to keep out chills as the mercury drops. Layer blankets over the top of your duvet for extra weight and warmth.

Layer up your loungewear
As the nights draw in, is there anything better than hunkering down and watching the latest not-to-be-missed box set? It's what dark autumnal evenings were made for. Discover our range of covetable loungewear you'll want to wear all season long: look for warming textures such as fleece and velour to add another layer of cosiness. Our favourite? This borg funnel-neck sweatshirt.
And, don't forget that what you eat makes a difference too, so dish up warming dinners as the temperature starts to drop. Kit out your kitchen for cooking cold-weather comfort food with roasting trays and oven-to-table cookware.
