Does exactly what it says! So far only used for making soups - for which it's perfect. Light weight. Low to medium sautes with little butter+oil - no burning. Once up to temperature, simmers on minimum heat: overall even temperature distribution. Good size for up to 4/5 servings. Cleaning - once cooled - is a dream. Problem is very hot handles and knob - as previously reported. Bought the silicon covers but do NOT leave these on while cooking as they get hot too! They are effective to lift pot to table - and stylish enough for table serving (on a trivet, of course). A knob cover to buy would be a useful addition.

I am very pleased with this casserole and have used it several times. I have been looking for one that I can transfer from the hob to the oven and this is just right. As mentioned in other reviews the handles do get hot but I was aware of that before I purchased it.

Perfect for my needs as it’s easy to lift, even when full, compared to cast iron. Care is needed to protect non stick surface, no metal spoons etc. Easy to clean, very happy so far, but only 4 stars as unsure of its longevity having only bought it recently. The silicone handle grips that are available separately, are helpful as the handles heat up surprisingly quickly!

Light weight, thick walls, the lid well fitted, good heat distribution. Precisely what I was looking for. Very happy about my new pot. As expected the metal handles got hot during cooking, but this is the price for using the pot in the oven.
