Not a velcro top button fastening as described!!

No, I don't recommend this
Upon opening the packet of these today found that the top button wasn't velcro as it should be but an actual button. Checked packaging and website, both say should be a velcro button up to age 10. Size purchased was 8-9. Really gutted as had these shirts last year, they were a great fit and stayed white. Please sort it out M&S

Check the stitching

I always buy M&S school shirts, they seem to survive more washes and last the full school year. This year however we have had to return items due to shoddy workmanship on the seams under the arms - its like it's been sewn on inside out. Please check before you wash, iron and throw the packaging away. Thankfully the labels are barcoded and the staff are super helpful. Although a 1/3 refund would have been better having washed and ironed the other two!

Poor quality and design

Poor quality polyester. Not suitable for kids in a heatwave in hot classrooms. No button at top of shirt. Always looks scruffy
