A drop in quality

No, I don't recommend this
I bought two pairs of these because they had been excellent in previous years but they are much smaller and less silky than last year’s. I compared them side by side. Please return to your original supplier M&S.

Smooth tights

Yes, I recommend this
This time the tights don’t feel as strong as they did before, by this I don’t think they are going to last as long. I hope I am wrong. They are still smooth but the waist does dig in a bit and I have not put any weight on ! Have used these for years and they have been brilliant until this year. Wasn’t able to buy single pairs as they seem to be in two pair packs. I do hope that they are always available as have been excellent for my legs being very busy in my role as a nurse.

Have M&S made a mistake with these ?
Originally posted on marksandspencer.com (UK)
No, I don't recommend this
These are listed as 40 denier Opaque but the packaging clearly says Silky Soft ... but whilst the label says Silky soft, these are not the silky soft tights M&S have been selling for years. I was hoping they were now back available after being removed from sale earlier in the year but these are just like any other opaque tights, they don't feel special anymore, come on M&S, get our silky soft tights of old back, and when you have, can we have the different colours, chocolate and Navy as well ...

Disappointing! Why have they changed these tights!

These were fashion staple silky black opaque tights I have been buying for years. They now come in a pack of 2 and are tiny with a waistband to fit my wrist. The silky tights are are preferable to the soft velvet ones as dresses can cling to those. So disappointing!

Hugely disappointing downgrade in quality

There is clearly a new formula or manufacturer. I have been buying these tights for many years but there has been a significant downshift in quality. They don’t fit (held up next to my old tights they are 20% shorter), don’t stay up and lose their silky texture / go bobbly after a couple of washes. PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD TIGHTS M&S!!!!!

Waist band cuts me in (and I have a small waist)

Unwearable tights! The waist band is SOOO small and tight - it cuts me in terribly. This should not happen as I wear a size ten skirt and these tights are a size large and I have a very small waist! These tights were always my trusty favourite but not anymore. Such a shame. I will not be buying these again.
