Have bought these years ago and they lasted well. Just restocking. Good quality, good size, good value for money.

I do use tissues but you can’t beat a proper hanky. I am pleased to see there’s no plastic in the packaging now.

Good but decline quickly if tumble dried

The handkerchiefs are very good for a while, but you are told not to machine dry them. When I’ve done so they start to get horribly curled around the edges and the cotton declinesj. In today’s world something as basic as a handkerchief should be able to be tumble dried.

White hankies

White hankies. Pretty smart. Could be a little smoother

Whiter than white? Maybe.

Smart and new but needing laundered before use. Washed in a 'whites' load - and for some reason came put looking pale blue. A further wash with a 'dyecatcher'. Now white, though a bluey-white, but hey - they're just hankies for using.

better without the shiny finish

would be far better without the anti bacterial finish. Whatever happened to thin, soft, large handkerchiefs?

Outstanding product. Spoiled by poor packaging.

I was somewhat disappointed at the packaging, not only was each hanky had a paper insert, but each hanky also had two plastic 'tags' removing all of these was an absolute nightmare, in my opinion this needs urgent addressing.

Last time I bought these handkerchiefs they measured about 17 inches square. Now they are only 14.5 inches - about 17% less fabric. Little bigger than a ladies handkechief but they have forgotten to mention this on the web site. My nose has not got smaller

Very surprised. These are poor quality, tried washing them and they came out worse.

Lovely fine cotton in a close weave, and actually square (unlike some!) and well-finished.

Smeary
Originally posted on marksandspencer.com (UK)
No, I don't recommend this
Nice cotton handkerchiefs which have been coated with something (possibly the antibacterial stuff?) which adversely affects the absorbency. So that if you have a runny nose then instead of absorbing the fluid as a tissue would, it mainly smears it around. Not good on a small infant - even worse on an adult. And the coating lasts. They've been washed 3 times now and the coating still remains - less smeary than at first but still not up to handkerchief standards. But I'm sure eventually they will get washed back to plain cotton when they will actually be useful.

Need washing before use, to soften up, but once washed and ironed are great.
