Despite the ad saying they're pleated across the front, they're not! The material is slightly thicker which is nice because they hang better. The only problem is the side pockets make across the front seem baggy but having taken up the legs, regular were too short, and they fit on the waist, I am pleased with them and they look smart. Might be a bit too warm once the warmer weather is here, but lovely for now. Affordable price as well. I haven't yet washed them, but I would expect them to keep their quality.

Love these trousers, great value and look far more expensive than they are. They are well tailored and more dressy than a cream pair of jeans. The fit is perfect for my 5'4" size 12. The high waist is so flattering as it sits on the smallest part of my frame. Would recommend.

Really pleased with these trousers. Very good quality. The trousers hang well and good value for the money. They look more expensive than they were. I found them a tiny bit tight on the waist but otherwise true to size for me. I bought the Ecru and love the colour

Dressy trousers which I wanted for summer days or evening wear. Would have preferred lighter weight material but these hang perfectly and don’t show panty line which thinner versions might do so no hesitation in keeping.

I am a classic size 10 regular leg. Nothing in this size in trousers fits me in M&S! Im now wearing a 12 short which i have never bought. Think your sizing is very off

I’ve been trying to buy a pair of reasonably warm smart black trousers and really glad I found these. I agree with other reviewers that the pockets gapes slightly but these are a great buy for the price. The fabric is good quality and a good weight for a smart pair of trousers and they look a lot more expensive than they actually are. Much better weight than some other expensive labels I tried. Being washable is another big bonus. They fit well, I find them true to size - 14 Long. Very pleased with my purchase. I wish M&S would do more of these great basics !

Although they are straight leg, they are WIDE straight leg. I’d much prefer them to be at least 2 inches narrower. It’s getting very difficult to get trousers that aren’t wide leg now. 😢

Wanted a pair for everyday wear, they was too long so needed to shorten them and that's when the difficulty came. Unplucked stitches round hem and found they were also glued (never seen this before) and not what I'd expect from a M&S product. Took ages to get hem unstuck before I could shorten them and ended up with hole. Now wearing them but disappointed with fit, wouldn't buy again.

Superb trousers - am mostly wearing them slightly dressed up but they do really well dressed down a bit with sneakers as well. Gorgeous cut and style; lovely fabric. Had to buy them in two colours (ecru & raisin) - and would love even more!
