Bought a replacement after a friend's dog chewed my old one. I loved the original coat which was as good as a Barbour, with all the right details - extra studs, fixings, heavy zip that goes from bottom as well as top, corduroy reinforcement patches inside, well-constructed diamond checking in the quilted lining. The new version is not even close to the original, the lining is vague, badly-stitched roundels (continuious, not checked and overlapping for strenth), the quality zip and additional fixings are gone, as are the strengthening details like the corduory patches inside. Feels like a cheap copy of the real thing now - same fabric, but not the same coat. I'm planning to return this coat, and send the old one for professional repair - cost will be about the same as I paid for the coat originally (and the same as this new dumbed down version), but one thing I can say for sure is that the new version would not be worth fixing up in the same way.

Brilliant coat - particularly the length as wax coats can often too short to keep warm during cold days but the length looks better and keeps cold out better than a well known wax coat brand!
