Sizing small, straps far too long!
Originally posted on marksandspencer.com (UK)
As many others have said, the dress arrives extremely screwed up. Also, the straps are overly long, and the sizing is completely off! For reference I ordered some pyjamas with this order - all size 12 - and they were all very loose, borderline too big. But this dress is very tight. It’s just such a shame because black satin nighties are my go to in the summer.

Strange extra fabric…..

Strange 4cm of extra fabric attached to the inner surface of the chemise, lumpy appearance so I trimmed it off with scissors. Poor quality and very poor finish- expected much better from M &S

Very pretty nightdress but it wasn’t for me so I am not sure if it was exactly what that friend wanted.

Look really good but the straps are too thin & I think would be uncomfortable when one sleeps in them, they would dig in . Wider straps with a racer back please!

Satin Strappy Long Chemise

It would be helpful to have adjustable straps . Other than that, it's good quality and could double as a full length slip/petticoat rather than the clingy versions sold in lingerie for the same purpose

Creased and cheap material

When it arrived it was so badly creased, and a dull dirty looking white colour. Didn’t feel like a nice material at all would not recommend.

Wish I had read the reviews! Creases like a rag. Just a few wears and one wash, then the 'classy' metal tag was hanging off, label in the back hanging by a thread, one strap coming away from the back, another fraying in the middle - and I got out my sewing machine to attach the lining at the side seams so it is easier to wear... Cyberjammies brand next time!

Looks good in the phitos but very disappointing. Straps far too long with no adjustment, not very comfortable to wear and after first gentle wash looks rather like an old bit of rag. Bad purchase.

Lovely product but as always too small, I have two similar nightdresses from M&S which both fit great.... Both size 16! Sizing just isn't consistent any more 😔

I was so disappointed in the quality of this item it creases to look like a rag after one night , when washed tge creases remain and after ironing it still didn’t look nice. I was so disappointed. I have returned it

I ordered on line and it arrived screwed up, looking like it had come from a jumble sale. It is a very yellowish cream which wasn’t what I wanted

I treated myself to two satin strappy long chemises in brown. I am always a size 10 at Marks & Spencer, a size 12 is too baggy. I washed these on a cold silk setting thinking they would fit perfectly, only to find that they are uncomfortably tight and I now cannot wear them or return them! Really disappointed by the inconsistent sizing.

Arrived Very Creased and Needs Constant Ironing
Originally posted on marksandspencer.com (UK)

I purchased both the dressing gown and the nightie, but unfortunately I’m very disappointed with the quality. Both items arrived extremely creased, and even after washing them on a 30-degree hand wash programme, the creases did not come out at all. They clearly need ironing after every wash, which is something I did not expect for the price. I also found the cream colour looked quite dull and greyish, almost as though it had already been washed many times before. Overall, the fabric and finish do not feel like good quality, and the items don’t look as nice in person as I expected. Unfortunately, as I have already washed them, I can no longer return them, so I will have to keep ironing them to make them look presentable.

Poor fit

This slip has no adjustable straps and is incredibly long strap wise and length. I had to cut and sew the straps just to get it to fit. If it had adjustable straps it would be good. I am a size 12 but bought 14 because it’s a small fit. Strange because Marks and Spencer normally are larger sizes. This is definitely not. It’s not cheap so should have straps that would adjust.

I’ve bought silk nighties from you for years. The quality of this one is poor. You can’t adjust the straps and the inside bodice is hard to iron.

Not yet worn but much better proportions than the long black nighty. Flattering and comfortable. I’m hoping being satin it won’t cling to bedding!

This is a very stylish slip, but I am disappointed with it. I bought it to wear with a maxi length skirt as there weren't any waist slips on offer. I’ve worn it once and it has pulled where the fabric rubbed on it. Not good. Also the straps aren’t adjustable so if you are under 5’6 the neck looks be is quite low.
