Kids' Leather Brogue School Shoes (13 Small - 7 Large)

Smart shoes, comfortable. Downside - flat laces, very hard to tie. We replaced them with ‘normal’ laces. If M&S continue to make should use alternative / standard laces

Great sturdy shoes, daughter loved them and o loved them too as they lasted the whole year. So good I bought them again in a larger size for this academic year.

My daughter couldn’t get feet in the shoes, they were so stiff & solid. No flexibility, I don’t understand why companies still make shoes that will take months to wear in. The sole does not bend. Sent back for a refund. No way would these be comfortable.

These shoes are well made, stylish and very comfortable. My daughter is really pleased with them.

My girls are 12 and 13. They’ve had both the patent leather brogue and the matt leather version and all have needed to be returned. The inner soles are the weakest part - the surface materials wears through at the heal and ball of the foot within days. But because it is an integral part of the shoe it cannot be removed and replaced with an after market inner sole. The external stitching splits apart around the big toe. The ribbon laces - they cannot be easily loosened and require immediate replacing. Why not sell them with proper laces? They look good, are comfortable BUT they are not robust enough for every day wear. Each couple of months we go back to M&S to exchange them for a new pair. If M&S are happy with this model for their shoe business that’s fine. But in terms of environment, sustainability and shoe longevity it is absolutely appalling. I buy English made boots and shoes that last years and can be repaired endlessly that only cost twice what these shoes cost. Come on M&S this needs addressing. I’m currently trying to work out how to cut in an insole so that my daughter can wear these 2 week old shoes tomorrow!!!! AVOID THESE SHOES.

Daughter really likes the shoe, finds the design lovely but feels the ribbon laces are harder to tie and get undone easily.

Perfect school shoes for my 15 year old daughter. They are so comfortable and the patent means less polishing 😉

Unfortunately I can’t recommend these. My daughter has had these shoes for less than a month and her big toes have gone through the innersole of the shoe. This means I’ve waisted my money and I’ve had to get her new pair of shoes already. Such a shame as she really liked the look of the shoes but they haven’t been hard wearing at all. Shame as I always think M&S have quality products.
