Go bigger if your child likes bigger clothes or has sensory. My daughter is nearly 5 but she is well built. She is in an age 7 dress. She loves it and now it’s autumn it covers her legs. It a thumbs up 👍 from her.

My LO loves the zip on this dress, means she can dress herself in a morning, the skirt is a little longer in length than some of the others meaning she has lots of growing room. The material is soft & good quality, Will re buy next year
