These are great trousers. The short was a good length for me at 5’2. I think they will look great dressed up or down.

I love a pair of patterned trousers. M&S had similar faux leather trousers last year but in plain colours. I bought my usual 12 in Regular and Long for comparison. I kept the Long as I think the Reg are actually a bit short, unless you want them really ankle-grazing. I'm probably a 29 inch inside leg. Apart from that they are true to size. I think they are cut quite straight on the hip so they benefit from being belted to bring in the waist. Anyway they are a bit of fun.

Love love love these trousers, unusual and stylish. Last year I bought a 3 pairs of M & S faux leather and especially loved the dark green leopard ones, so I know these will be worn as just as much. Have both a size 10 & 12 but I think I will return the 12 as a bit loose around the derrière as I know they tend to loosen up.
