Dulcie EmersonWhat is a beanie?
Beanie hats are brimless, stretchy hats suitable for colder weather. Often made from knitted yarns, such as wool, cotton or cashmere, they come in smooth or ribbed finishes and often feature a fold-over hem for added depth. A bobble hat is a more traditional take on the beanie, usually taller in design with a pompom attached to the tip as a focal point.
Smaller, close-fitting beanie hats that reveal the ears are synonymous with the urban hipster aesthetic, while looser-fitting beanies convey a rustic, outdoorsy vibe. Whichever style you choose, alternate the colour with your coat and another other woven accessories for cool contrast.

What is a cap?
Lightweight and versatile, the baseball cap is a peaked hat design dating back to the 1860s. As the name suggests, it was first created for American baseball players and has since become a modern wardrobe staple.
In the summer, you can't beat a cotton or linen cap for a laid-back everyday look that merges style with practicality. Check out our Goodmove range for activewear caps featuring air vents and moisture-wicking technology to keep you cool and dry on the go. During the winter months, choose a wool or corduroy cap to shield your eyes from the sun's low rays without scrimping on warmth.
