Warm curtains
Yes, I recommend this
Great curtains, super thick. I bought the pencil pleat which are difficult to gather as the fabric is quite thick, they should be easier to gather if using eyelets but my poles are too thick for eyelets. I would have liked more colour choices.

Quite heavy

Great Quality curtains definitely do what they are designed for. The colour was exactly what I wanted and lovely thick thermal lining. Quite heavy to handle and needed an iron as they were quite creased when we took them out of the packaging and we only got a smaller size! Full length and width would take some handling. All in all very pleased with my purchase.

Lovely curtains with a thick, duvet like liner!

Great product - curtain lining is like a thin duvet, so not only is that insulating against heat loss but I also think it provides some noise reduction - we live on a fairly busy road.

Average curtains
Ok curtains but very difficult to get the creases out of them

These are very nice curtains. They are thick and hang well. I would have given them 5 stars but for a couple of creases that - so far - have not dropped out. `the label says not to use a steam iron’ I used a dry iron and some of the creases came out. However, they are good quality and `I’m pleased with. Them.

One to avoid !

No, I don't recommend this
The lining is excessively bulky which doesn’t allow gathering or pleating. The photos shown on M&S show lovely pleats, totally impossible ! Curtains are very creased from packaging and even with cool iron (recommended) impossible to remove (steaming not allowed) They look awful, tried ironing with slightly more heat with no effort. Have returned hopefully get a full refund. Definitely not up to M&S standards. Avoid at all costs.

I have not hung these curtains yet - but I purchased the same ones earlier on - they hang well and they keep out the light which is a good thing.

Lining Too Bulk
Originally posted on marksandspencer.com (UK)
The lining is too bulky to allow 'even' gathering of the curtains. The tape heading is really poor/thin and not very deep. Using the bottom line for the hooks, to enable the curtains' headings to 'stand up', together with the bulkiness, is not a very good appearance. Disappointing, the curtains are just ok, very creased, the black outing works. Bought for grandson's bedroom but would have advised them, not to keep, if I had seen them before they had put them up.

Outstanding , quality curtains

After fixing hooks on heading tape instructed, the rest of the heading tape with curtains hangs forward with weight of curtains showing the white heading tape.

Curtains for my bedroom
Originally posted on marksandspencer.com (UK)
Although I am very pleased with the actual curtains. I am very disappointed at how creased they still are. The curtains in my view are better suited to a longer length window as per your picture. I have them fitted in my bedroom so they are window sill length. I also would not recommend pencil pleating either as too much bulk. Your picture shows a wooden rail whereas mine is just a white plastic track. In hindsight I should have had pinched pleating.

Good value for the money but very creased when taken out of packaging now they have been hung the creases are beginning to disappear

Heavy, cheap feel but good blackout

Very heavy so they keep coming off the curtain hooks. Fabric feels a bit cheap would be much nicer with some natural fibres. Blackout wise though they are very good

Wonderful Quality, super thick! These are next level compared to the Thermal only version which surprised me as I only ordered the ultra thermal as the normal thermal were out of stock. Well worth the extra money as they’re for the bedroom in a very old Victorian property so really help keep the heat in.

No steaming allowed

Good quality curtains however very creased from package. The recommended cool iron, without steam did not remove creases to my satisfaction. Hopefully will improve on hanging!

These curtains are totally effective for the blackout feature, but also seem to work very well in terms of the thermal aspect. After about a week since I put them up, I feel that there's a noticeable difference in the room feeling less cold with no heating, and hopefully their thickness and the lining is also helping heat not to escape when it's on.

Brushed Pencil Pleat Blackout Ultra ThermalCurtain

These curtains were much thicker and heavier that the pencil pleat thermal curtains that I had ordered before, which is fine - but it does make gathering the pleats a little more difficult and they do appear a little bulkier.

I bought the blush colour curtains as the champagne colour were out of stock in the size I wanted. So glad I did as the colour is just right in an otherwise neutral bedroom. The material is such good quality and the lining is like a thin quilt, so will be brilliant at keeping heat in over winter and the sun out in the summer. I have made my own curtains over the years, but these are quality and would be far more expensive if I made them from scratch.
