A bit disappointing

No, I don't recommend this
I love the design and fit but I wouldn’t describe the socks as super soft. They also make my feet very hot. I should have checked the materials.

Nice material and quality but a bit tight around the ankle.

Incredibly thin

Soft and true to soze, but so thin, the socks are see-through on the top part. These wouldnt be suitable for winter. Remains to be seen how the quality of the thin material holds up with wear.

Very thin. However good length and reasonably calm colours. Not sure how well they will wear as they are much thinner than I was expecting. So hard to find decent socks these days! Not sure I’d recommend at the moment.

I’ve always bought my socks from M &S but I’m very disappointed with these. They are almost see through they are so thin. I trusted that buying these online they would be the usual quality but unfortunately not.

Nice socks but appear grey

I purchased these socks after buying the previous year’s socks and although they are as soft and comfortable the elastane running through the fabric of the sock is a white or light colour, this gives the impression that the sock is thin and a greyish tint when stretched across the foot. This makes the socks seem cheap and not as aesthetically pleasing. These socks should have a black elastane the same as last year’s version, and this is something to note for the designers of the sock. I will not purchase these socks again unless the fabric returns to the previous version.

Typical M&S lowering quality and standards
Originally posted on marksandspencer.com (UK)
I've been buying this style for years, in various colours as they've updated through the seasons. The latest pack unfortunately are noticeable thinner in quality and shorter than old pairs I've washed, lived and died in for years. Beware, I am a UK shoe size 3.5 - 4, but like to buy the 6+ size as I prefer a little looser around the leg and these fit snug, so I'm unsure how these would comfortably fit someone who is an actual size 6+. In my haste thinking they're exactly the same fit/quality, I unpacked the lot and threw them in the wash ready to wear anf will have to keep them now. But I will not be rebuying from here as the quality of all the women's basics it seems have lowered far below what I am willing to accept from M&S. Do better.

Poor quality - very thin

After wearing the older version of these socks for 2 years I purchased these online last week and the quality is very poor. They are very thin and practically opaque. I wear them to work under black trousers (M&S 60 denier tights would be thinker) Very disappointed with the purchase.

Really thin!

When I put these on they no longer look black. Definitely not as good quality as I have been used to in M&S socks

Lovely and soft, very comfortable, actually fit my small feet but they are not very strong - I had to replace after too few wears because they developed a hole

Too thin

Although the fabric is soft to touch, I find it too thin and constantly fall down when worn

I have a thing about the feel of products on my skin. These socks are, as they say, super soft And very comfortable. I wear a size 6 shoe but did find the larger size was a little big. I would go got the smaller one next time.
