M & S appear to call almost all men's Summer underwear "Cool and Fresh", because that is what people want, but I find it rarely is. Except in Winter. This applies to these Trunks. They are made of moderately thick cotton, much thicker than Boxers, so are comparatively warm and comfortable. The ecological cost of manufacture is not stated and I doubt they are organic. I had forgotten how good a new pair of underpants can be.

These pants are too thin a material to last any time at all. If I had seen them in the shop I would not have bought them. They are also very elastic and clingy. Not like the previous ones I have bought. Need to find somewhere else where I can get pants like M&S used to make.

The addition of a seam in the middle of the crotch - a obvious potential source of chafing - is an unwelcome change from the original design. So only 3 stars, otherwise would be 5 stars.
