Brilliant undies for ladies with stoma

These were bought for my Sister, who has just had surgery, following bowel cancer. She loves them and has ordered two more packs.

Good Quality and Comfortable Support

As somebody who has recently had to have a Ileostomy, this knickers are great. They provide great support for when I’m wearing loose fitting clothing and the inside pocket keeps the bag from touching me, which is great as I find it to be a little uncomfortable at times. I’ve found also found that they are great for when I sleep on my side at night, as it supports the bag and doesn’t let it ‘hang’ off of me.

Why only Brazilian?

It is brilliant that M and S are selling stoma knickers. The first time I tried to order they were sold out. This time only Brazilian were available so I tried these. Apart from the cut away back I am delighted! Size 12 fitted perfectly. They appear to wash well (so far). My only complaint is not being able to get ‘normal’ Knickers - these are not very comfortable so I would not get them again

Not what I expected

No, I don't recommend this
Unfortunately, when I went to our local large M&S store, they didn’t have any of their new stoma pants for me to look at. I’ve had an ileostomy for over 20 years, and have payed a lot of money buying stoma pants from a company who only sell stoma equipment. I had to buy some new stoma pants from M&S online. I was so excited that a leading clothing company has decided to sell them. That soon turned to extreme disappointment. I realise that this is a personal view, but I prefer my pants to snuggly fit at where my bottom meets the top of my leg. Sadly, the ones M&S sell go half way up the butt cheeks, which I find extremely uncomfortable and not at all secure. They were also not cotton which is essential, especially in hot weather when the extra flap to tuck your stoma pouch in, rests against the body. I would love to buy stoma pants from M&S that fit properly and are made of cotton. I will wait with bated breath.

I so wanted to love these, and well done m &s for doing them, but sadly as others said, the pocket is completely wrong for the stoma bag and it just doesn’t fit.

So nice to be able to buy stoma knickers in a “normal shop”. These are way better than the ones I bought previously from a specialist shop - lovely fabric, good sized inner pouch that actually encases your pouch instead of sliding down and nice to have an option that’s not a full brief. Thank you M&S 🥰

I wasn’t sure re this product but actually I’m surprised at how great they are. If you have a stoma sitting against your skin it can feel wet, hot and not always comfortable.

Love these pants. I have two stomas and both bags fit comfortably into the pocket at the front. They stop the bags sweating against my tummy when I am warm and also hold the bags neatly, where previously the tube at the bottom of the urostomy bag would easily fall out at the bottom of the pants!! They are also very supportive because of their stretchy material, so hopefully help to stop a hernia. The only reason it is not 5 stars is, like other reviewers, I find the pocket sits too high at the front of the pants. It therefore catches on the bags… could do with the material being a bit lower!

A step in the right direction for stoma users

I have a colostomy, and although these knickers have the pouch to place stoma bag in, they are not really practical, as my stoma (for instance) is at least two inches below my waist, then the pouch is being rucked up against the skin, underneath the stoma itself. Sorry if I have not explained it very well.

Firstly, I'm so pleased that M&S are considering people living with stomas and delivering products which are functional as well as pretty. I found the inner pocket came up a bit too high for my stoma placement however it was workable. I loved that there were lovely colours available and the fabric was great quality. The knickers certainly felt very supportive but I would like to see more options especially some that match coordinating bras.

Delighted to find that M&S have introduced these into their stores. They are very comfortable and live the feel of the fabric. Looking forward to trying the other styles in the range.

If you want no VPL these are NOT the pants for you
Originally posted on marksandspencer.com (UK)
VPL is terrible, sadly. But that being said, I’ve tried many stoma knickers and these are super soft and comfortable - the high waist makes me feel secure and smooths any bumps out. I won’t buy anymore sets as they don’t look so good under clothes. But they are amazing - please make some of these with less visible seams.
