Light weight stoma knickers better than others I’ve tried

Comfy & Supportive

The knickers are comfy and supportive, I purchased these post-surgery on advice of stoma nurse to buy ‘big pants’. The pocket is no use for me as my stoma is too low so the top of the pocket is above it however it adds an extra layer of support so not a problem.

Extremely uncomfortable, poor design

No, I don't recommend this
There is a seam, the knickers are made of sections, the joining seam is situated across the seated part of the posterior, causing rubbing, discomfort and very sore pressure points, I certainly would not recommend these garments. Some ergonomic and medical analysis must have gone into the design, the customer has been let down.

I’ve had a stoma for 40 years and at last, M&S have come up with knickers specifically for people with stomas. You could always buy them, although they were from tiny companies that charged a fortune for them. M&S ones are affordable, especially with the VAT removed. My only criticism is that they are very heavy and the material is very thick.

Really comfortable to wear, so discreet too, made managing my stoma a lot easier.

Good fit and quality

Good quality and fit. Only one down fall stoma pocket too high for stomas lower than tummy button. Therefore a light/medium support pant would do the same job cheaper.

Obviously I bought these as I recently acquired a stoma. The pants are really good and well done for fulfilling this need in the population. I have a few comments I am delighted to be able to share. The elastic on the top of the inner pouch is perhaps tighter than needed. I find that my skin as the outer edge of the bags adhesive is irritated by the elastic of the pants where it passes over. The firmness of the pants overall is a good support to the abdomen and muscles around stoma. I wonder can you make these in a higher support version for activity eg. gym and running and with a slightly higher waistband.

Exceeded Expectations

As per M&S expectations, excellent product which I would further class as 'life enhancing' due to the confidence that these things can give to a woman who has had a stoma. Also it is good that these knickers qualify as a post surgery necessity and therefore are VAT free. Delivery was quick and discreet. Cannot fault and I am certain that I will buy more when needed. A great thing for lasses with a stoma - well done M&S!

These stoma knickers were perfect for my wife. They are very comfortable for her. She has yet to have her operation and will supply you with another review of how they are when she has had her stoma bag fitted.

I have had my stoma since October 1979, that is 46 years and have never really felt comfortable by wearing a cover for the stoma cotton bag covers which were available. A friend of mine told me that she had seen Stoma knickers in Marks and Spencer, so I went to Burnley to have a look for them. They didn't have any in my size, but the Assistant showed me a smaller pair as I didn't know what they looked like. I ordered a pack and asked for them to be posted to me. Two days later I received them - wonderful service from DPD. However, they are absolutely so comfortable, I do not feel that I have a stoma bag any more. I am going to order some more. I am so pleased with them.

They are comfy but they are too small. The bag fits nice in them but the tube gets blocked because it's squeezing it too tight.

Stoma pants

I bought a size up and they are still quite tight. The concept is good and the price is excellent. I may try the full brief in these pants to see if I prefer them that the Brazilian cut.
