Tiny collar

Bought these shirts for my average sized son who is starting school in September; easy dressing velcro is brilliant but the collars of these shirts are tiny! He cried when trying on that it was too tight on his neck, have purchased cheaper easy dressing shirts elsewhere which have a much more generous collar width. Returned!

Lovely shirts, nice white, crisp quality and a doddle to iron. I just wished I’d read the description more thoroughly. I thought there were poppers behind the buttons and not a full length strip of Velcro , ( my 16 year old isn’t impressed 🤣) . Downside unless fastened , all your washing sticks when in the washing machine .

The velcro idea is so bad, with kids running around, the shirt gets opened easily. Aldo not comfortable when used under the school jumper

i was surprised to find velcro and NO BUTTON HOLES for the buttons... this was not what i expected at all... and my teenager wasn't impressed! i will have to hand sew button holes after removing the velcro!

These are great quality shirts and so far have washed really well. My only criticism is that the Velcro doesn’t stick so well right at the very top and my son’s school is very strict about having the top button done up! There have been no complaints so far though!

This shirt is VELCRO

I didn’t realise I had ordered VELCRO closing shirts in error (I had no idea such a thing existed!). Although I’ll give one star for the fact that the appearance of the shirt is good and you’d have no idea it is Velcro until your child goes all ‘Magic Mike’ and rips it open in the middle of a maths lesson. And genuinely if you do need a Velcro shirt for any reason - this is a good one.

Brought for my son who struggles with buttons and has to get changed for PE in school. He loves these shirts and finds them really easy to get changed oout of and in to. We've only had them a few weeks, but so far they have washed well and the sticky strip is still good.

'Handy' shirts!
I bought these shirts by mistake... I hadn't realised they were fastened with Velcro. They were a good fit and looked smart, so I decided to keep them, and take a chance. I asked my grandson what he thought about them, having worn them for a week. He described them as 'Handy' and I guess that's as good a description as any other! No problems at all with them, so far...

It is the first I tried as I brought it by accident. Didn’t noticed that it’s hook and loop throughout the button placket. Surprised, the quality is surprising good. Fit well throughout as compared with the normal shirt with buttons. Just only don’t know if the hook and loop still effective after a few more wash.

Don't buy if your school uses clip on ties
Originally posted on marksandspencer.com (UK)
No, I don't recommend this
These do not work for clip on ties. Bought due to my son's severe sensory issues but going to have to throw them away as the full length velcro means I can't even make a hole in it to put the tie clip through, as it interferes with the velcro and the shirt hangs open. Such a shame when most of the senior schools in my area use clip on ties. Please consider this in future designs M&S.
