The material is a kind of crinkly synthetic which is very stretchy (I'd advise not sizing up if you are between sizes or a bit dubious) and a bit rough to the touch. This doesn't really come across in the photo which is perhaps why some people have been disappointed. For the price they are good value, I intend to wear to the office. I'd be disappointed if I'd paid more or if I was expecting a woven fabric. They are what they are and for what they are they are fine. It is a shame most of M&S staple trousers only seem to come in black and navy blue, this is the only pair I have seen in a taupe shade.

I like these as I have quite a lot of clothes to tone in with the Nutmeg coloured Trousers. They are light but they are a good fit and they are not too long. I chose 12 short. My regular size and chose the short length to wear with ballet flats. I am 5 ft 6.They are the same length as shown on the model on me.

Very pleased with these trousers. They are unusual in their texture but so comfortable. I bought the black colour way and have worn them a couple of times with a longline blouse for evenings out and had many compliments. They are true to size, good high waist and a welcome amount of stretch. I’m 5’ 8” and the 12 long was perfect.

The material on these trousers isnt nice, itchy and elasticated all over, making the trousers huge. I ordered short which were still too long. Returned them.

Think sheets of dried seaweed, with added itch, and you have an idea of how nasty this fabric feels. The trousers have no weight to them whatsoever so they don't hang well or look good. Gladly returned.
