They are okay for around the house. I don't find them comfy but that could just be me rather than the shoes.

Was so pleased they had these in a size 5.5 as M&S size 6 is always too big. However, disappointed to say they were way too small with both my heels hanging over the backs - interesting as I have one foot a true size 5 and the other a true size 5.5! I wasn’t massively impressed with the style when I received them either, I thought they looked a bit frumpy. I have returned them to a local store already but didn’t bother looking for a bigger size as, to be honest, having seen them would only use them as slippers. Wouldn’t recommend.

Comfy mules, but sizing is way off!
Originally posted on marksandspencer.com (UK)
The sizing on these mules is way off. I'm glad I read the reviews first before buying. I'm usually a size 3.5, but got these in size 4.5, and they just fit. The suede is quite thin, but has some lining to it, so not sure how long they will last for. The sole is a hard too. They are comfy though and don't need breaking in at all. I would have been disappointed if I paid full price for these, but bought these in the sale so can't complain really.

Bought in an emergency

The only reason I bought these is because a new pair of trainers gave me the most appalling blisters and I needed something to get me home. As everyone else says they run small - the suede doesn’t feel very natural either, it’s more like cheap microfibre. OK to potter in the garden in but that’s it.

I really liked the look of these mules and loved the brown colour. But there was so much material in the top of the foot area I thought my big toe would come through and they would slop about. Shame nice style.

I purchased these mules to wear in the house. They are very comfortable and the best thing about them is they don't slip off as other mules tend to.

Nice but not great.

The fabric is soft, but the sides of the flaps are too long and curled up when you slipped in/out which is not very nice.

Stupidly I blithely ignore the other reviews saying they are a small fit. They are. My heel extended beyond the edge and compared with the same sized M&S slipper from last year, they were at least 3/4 inch shorter.Took them back.

Sizing is way off
Originally posted on marksandspencer.com (UK)
I had three attempts to get the correct size - even after reading reviews that said they come up small. I’m usually a size 5 but ended up going up in half size increments until I got a size 6.5. These are still a smidge short in length but as my foot sissy inside the footbed I couldn’t be bothered to faff around a fourth time. Nice design and good quality finish that’s let down by the awful sizing.

Shoe size anomalies!

Having read the reviews whereupon the shoe size was referred to as “not true to size”, I decided to purchase two pairs. One pair a size 5, the other pair a size 5.5 One shoe from the size 5 pair was actually a LARGER fit than that of the size 5.5 I can only presume that they were either incorrectly sized - or just badly made. I’m a size 5 in most styles of shoes but both pairs of shoes were so badly sized for fit, I had to return all of them. I suppose I could have tried a size 6 … but then I’d end up looking like I was wearing flippers! In general, the shoes are very nice. The insole is cleverly moulded so that ones toes have comfortable “grip” whilst walking - and the shoe is then not likely to slip off. … Especially if you have to run for a bus. Or in my case, I prefer a taxi ! However, I would say that these shoes are NOT suitable for ladies with broader feet and/or those who suffer swollen feet or ankles in the hot weather. The shoe style appears to be predominantly made for those who have super-slim, almost stick-thin feet!

Ordered these and collected instore. Bought a second (sandy) pair whilst there. Very comfortable from the off and I have difficult (bunions, wide, arthritis) feet. Will probably be wearing these exclusively until the bad weather sets in!

It was 3rd time lucky with these, usually a 6/6.5 so ordered 6.5 and 7. Both too small, eventually settled on. 7.5. Nice shoe, love the grey colour.
