No, I don't recommend this
i bought these today and tried them on at home, i take a 6.5 and today i bought a 5.5 for my sister - when i tried them on, i found them way to big, i walked around my house and found them wobbly because they are so wide in the heel, the look great and I'm dissappointed about the sizing, intend to return them tomorrow, surprised at M&S as their shoes are usually a perfect fit - there was no warning on the label to indicated they were going to be so wide a fit,

I collected these Boots from my local M&S a week and a half ago as I knew we were in for some very cold weather. As I walk to pick my grand children up twice a week I thought they would be a good idea as I do not drive and needed something flat and water repelent . It stated “WALKING BOOTS”. Ideal, so I thought. They were comfortable and warm with the addition of thermal socks. My walk is five minuets there and five minuets back. So over the two days twenty minuets. Not very much really. I examined the sole on the Wednesday and was very disappointed to find that the heel was already freying and starting to wear down. I decided to take them back to the store as there was no point in wearing them another day. How they can call them WALKING BOOTS I do not know. I am sure they would not last a months wear. Thankfully I was given a full refund.

This boot damaged my foot

I bought those boots 3 months ago and last week my heel started to hurt really badly. I checked my boots and realised the sole collapsed and i have been walking while having my foot in an incorrect posture. Its a shame I thought initially that these were really comfortable but a pair of boots should last more than 3 months.

It's not you, boots. You're great. It's me

These would be great water resistant (noted NOT waterproof - I use other boots for that), warm and cosy boots. However, it's my arthritic ankles which made me return the boots. I can't flex my foot adequately downwards to get the foot in. Frustrating. And they seem a bit heavy for my fragile joints. Drat. If it helps I took some measurements and my usual wide fit 6.5 size would be very comfortable in a size 7 of these. I'm sad to see these go, but I can't get them on and that's the end of it. However, looking thoroughly at them I would highly recommend them, hence the 5 stars.

Little bit sloppy around the heel, which is rubbing my heels even through really thick socks. Warm and cosy and don’t seem to slip on ice. Overall I really like these and they’re good value for money.
