Pure Cotton Frill Detail Mini Waisted Dress

I love this dress but the material is completely see through. The skirt is lined, but not the top. Even a nude bra is visible. So disappointing - I have no choice but to return

I am 5 ft 8 and always buy size 10 at M&S which I did here. The dress is so pretty. Perfect fit and washed really well - didn’t even need to iron! Although it’s white, it’s not see through which I hoped it wouldn’t be for the price. I debated spending this amount but am so glad I did. Love it.

This dress is gorgeous! It is a skater style shape, the top half is fitted, there is an elasticated "shirred" waist, and then the skirt flares out slightly. I am a size 10 and it is true to size. I tried on the dress wearing a nude bra, yes the top half of the dress is see through, but when wearing a nude bra, the bra is not visible. Although the skirt part of the dress is lined, I would have liked the whole dress to be lined as the material is very thin. I am 5'3" and the regular dress falls just above my knees. I love that the dress is not long because it looks trendy. I am 44 and I don't think it looks too young, as the dress comes in two lengths and is therefore suitable for any age. My Mum gasped when she saw me wearing the dress and said that it looks beautiful. The red and blue flowers on the white background look really pretty. I love this dress so much I also purchased the dress in the pink mix T428480, at the same time, which is the same style but has lots of pinky red flowers on it. I was lucky to get both dresses when there was a deal of the day, 50% off dresses, a total bargain! I would definitely recommend this dress.

The top is very see through my white bra is on show ! The dress is short and I'm 5'2. Skirt is lined but not the top which needs to be. Suitable for young women up to 30 who are slim and with great legs . I'm 58 and it's a defenit no, I thought it's a pretty style and cool cotton, lovely if young , I'm sad I'm not 30 but the dress is reminding me of days gone by in 1981 marks and spencer sold this design and I had a light blue version of this. I would have kept it had it not been see through and had sat just below my knee! Retuned dress

I just hate the elastic waist on this dress, it wasn’t obvious in the photo and there was no mention of it in the description. It just ruined a beautiful dress, had it not been for the itchy elastic, it had been a keeper.

This is a very pretty summer frock and true to its picture, well made and the colours (red & blue) vibrant set perfectly on the white background. I ordered Size 6 and is true to size and fits very well, sits on the knee (I am 5'3"). the skirt is lined adding to the appearance. The quality of this dress is good. The waist is elasticated & for me in the perfect position as sometimes the waistlines with M&S are too low and sit on the hip making the dresses frumpy & bunched.

I really wanted this dress but struggle to know which size to order when there are no reviews. I ordered size 10 and 12 - I sometimes need a size 12 because a 10 can pull across the bust. I did need the 12 on this occasion. The background colour is definitely white not ivory which looks fresh. Unfortunately, this dress was not for me - it was very short and because the waist is elasticated the skirt stuck out a bit like a “rara” skirt. Might have suited me more 10 years ago. Still a pretty dress.

I wanted a nice dress for those hot days when in holiday. And this seems to fit the bill. It fits nice, and comes just above the knee. It’s very pretty & feminine. I’m looking forward to wearing it.
