Pure Cotton Checked Tie Neck Shirt

I thought this cotton checked shift looked very versatile and could be worn with jeans or smarter trousers .It's well made and comfortable to wear. It washes and irons well. The only bit that may become annoying is the tie neck if you didn’t want to do the buttons up to the top. But so far I’m very happy with it.

If you are a size 16, you may have boobs, therefore it could be better if the spaces on the shirt were reduced to relieve the boob gappage between button holes so a pin isn’t required to close the gap. Returned because of the reason, and disappointed as a 100% cotton blouse is much welcomed for menopausal women.

The sleeves are slightly short for my long arms and so is the length of this checkered shirt. The frilled neckline is very attractive and is further softened by the narrow tie, which is optional. It’s cosy, with a slightly brushed feel and frilled elasticated cuff. A really on-trend purchase, which has been admired.

This has been a fun , useful blouse getting me over the summer to autumn season . I love the collar but have to be careful when putting on a coat or jacket as it gathers up behind the neck . The fabric is good quality and feels good next to the skin , the pattern fun with a slight cowboy vibe. Great with dark blue separates and denim.

True to size, I bought a 10 which is my normal size in M&S shirts if they are regular fit, which this is. Sometimes I find a high neck annoying but you don't have to do this right up, the bow can be tied loosely around the neck or left to hang down. Thought it was a nice shirt for the price and checks are in. Sleeves are perhaps a little short but would pull them up anyway.
