Found these for my son in the sale. Ordered a few - different lengths and colours. The cream pinstripe were great. Perfect for his working trip in Greece. It amazes me that you can’t buy a pair of shorts in September. People have holidays over the autumn and winter. Saved by the M&S sale.

These have a good fit, look great and are lightweight and breathable while having a medium thickness as it is supposed to be for a casual garment piece. The linen blend with cotton also makes the fabric much softer than linen alone. I really hope this model will still be sold for a few more years, so I have where to buy replacements from.
