The perfect pair of shorts! Might be an idea to order a smaller size to your actual size as they’re generously cut.

Was very disappointed with this purchase. Loved the style but after I washed them I noticed that all.of the colour had faded. Left a kind of marbled grey type colour. Took back and hot another pair, different colour. Washed them straight away to make sure didn't happen again. Happened again and will be taking back for refund. Expected more from m&s

I wanted a smarter short for holiday to change from usual denim shorts, these were what I wanted. However I ordered 3 pairs of shorts and I had to return these for a bigger size whilst the others fitted ok. Even in size bigger they seem tighter on hips than waist. Order a size up.

Lovely fabric and fit, but like other customers, very disappointed with the extreme fading. Certainly won’t be wearing them again, look like I’ve used them to wash the floor! Expensive for 1 wear..... I would certainly have returned them, but I live outside UK and bought them whilst on holiday. Surely M&S quality control should pick up on something like this?

Loved the shorts and bought as part of Holly's new edit however washed them once and all the colour came out as per previous reviews. Very disappointed in quality - returned and got my money back. Wouldn't recommend.

I came on here to see whether I'd bought a dud pair but it seems it's a common issue sadly. I've always struggled to find shorts I like as I've got fairly chunky thighs and most pairs are too short and unflattering for my shape. These are gorgeous, fit wise, and I was so looking forward to taking them on holiday with me in a couple of weeks...then I washed them. They have light stripes all over from where the dye has run and look terrible! Really poor quality and clearly not properly tested. I'll be taking them back for a refund

One wash with my usual colour wash detergent and at colder than washing instructions and they look like a rag. Turn up is twisted and they look washed out and a mess. Was going to take them on holiday but cant now as they are only fit for doing the gardening.. and I have to take them back to the shop as they really are unacceptable.

I'm long in the body and thought I would give these shorts a go but sadly there were not for me. Good quality, nice look, just too short and I could tell as soon as put them on. I needed shorts that were longer in the body so I could feel comfortable. I had to return them.

Much like the rest of the reviews, I really loved this buy until I washed them. Just after one wear and one wash the black colouring has faded all over. They have grey patches all I’ve them. I wish I had read the reviews before buying these. Do not buy!

I loved these shorts when I saw them on Holly as one of her "Must Haves" and ordered them immediately on-line. When they arrived, they fitted well if a little snug and looked great with summer tops. However after only one wash the shorts were ruined and went patchy with grey/white patches on them and looked horrible. I can now only wear them indoors and not outside. I am so disappointed as these shorts were not cheap and I expected to be able to wear them either in the day casually or dress them up for the evening. M & S need to consider using quality material that will wash well. Such a shame.

These shirts were gorgeous, perfect fit, nice high waist and a great length. I loved them and contemplated buying the other colours....wore them twice on holiday, washes them when I returned home and they are now hideous!!! They’re now patchy and grey and look like I’ve owned them for years and over washed them! I will be returning them which is such a shame!!

Great little shorts and happy to receive them. Especially love the belt as it gives them a designer feel.

I am so impressed with the quality of these shorts never felt cotton so soft, going to order in more colours!
