Great value

Yes, I recommend this
My son likes to wear football boots/style as his trainers but at age 10 with size 7 feet he’s moving into adults territory but he still has narrow feet so we struggle to find something to fit him as they tend to be too wide. These trainers are perfect for him, they give football boot vibes, the size is great he has room to grow in them, they don’t slip off his feet because they aren’t adult wide, are great value for money and the fact he doesn’t have to tie any laces is a big plus for him.

Not great quality

No, I don't recommend this
The orange and blue ones are very lively looking and my son loved the colours as they are his favourite. Unfortunately he's not had them a month and they've scuffed at the tip like many others have said. I'm shocked, normally the shoes are great but these are not the same quality I expected. I won't be getting them again.

The trainers are very nice, a good fit and my son finds them comfortable but he has only worn them about six times and the toe is already worn on one shoe

These shoes are good for light use, indoor PE lessons PE and dry outdoors. Good basic shoe for PE lessons at school.

Contains active biocide silver chloride

No, I don't recommend this
I was shocked when these shoes arrived with a tag on them saying "This product contains an active biocide - silver chloride", which, according to the European Chemicals Agency, "may damage the unborn child and is very toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects". Why wasn't this put on the website product description? Why is M and S putting this in children's shoes anyway?

Beautiful blue trainers

This is my son’s second pair, I couldn’t find it in store because of winter so ordered it online. He loves them especially the blue colour and wears it for PE. The sole opened up for the first pair but otherwise he finds it quite comfy and it’s quite easy to maintain by just wiping it down.

Boughtnfor sons birthday - wore them that day and after 4 hours the toe was white where the colouring had pealed off! No other trainers have ever done this with 4 hours wear. Waste of money - really disappointed. Won't let me add photos to show them

This is the third pair, the first 2 were returned faulty after the front started pealing off badly and then the stitching came apart. The 3 pair has been worn a short time at school and it already peeling. These are not fit for purpose.

They came up small, I’d advice to go up a size. The width of the shoe is smaller than usual.

Comfortable but scuffed quickly

My son finds these comfortable but the top of the show was scuffed by the second time of wearing. The coating is not the best quality but the rest of it the shoe is fine.

These look great and my 8 year old son loved them, but they lasted one week before the toes were all scuffed so waste of money.

Don’t buy. Look smart but really poor. Became scuffed and peeling after a couple of wears and were used for PE only not everyday trainers. Worst purchase from M&S in a long time.

Purchased in blue for my 5 yr old grandson, he wore them twice and they looked awful! Quality extremely poor. On the plus side- ‘good customer service from M & S’ . I rec’d a full refund, no problem. Grandson very disappointed as he loved them. 🤷♀️.

Perfect trainers for muddy and wet fields

Purchased for my son as his current PE trainers aren’t able to stand up to the wet and muddy fields at school. These ones are oerfect, I’m told they are comfortable as well. Seem to be doing the job I needed them for. Had to get the black Sue to uniform requirements although I’m tempted by the other colour for out of school muddy / wet weather use.

Good looking shoe but appalling quality - lasted 2 days before the “finish” had come off the toes. His socks were wet. I do not recommend these shoes!

Poor quality

No, I don't recommend this
Bought 1 week ago and worn twice, son puts them on for a 3rd time and the stitching on the tab that holds the metal rip tape fastener in place tears open. Now not safe to wear as trainers can't be fastened by laces. Not great quality expected from M&S, will be returning for a refund.
