Disappointing quality - not built for active feet!

We bought these shoes for our 7 year old for school, he wears PE trainers 2 days a week and after 2 weeks so 6 days of wearing them the sole had come away from one of the shoes and the other looked like he had been wearing them all year. He came how. From school one rainy day with a completely wet sock - I was shocked at the poor quality of these shoes. We did get a full refund but I had to travel to a store to show them the shoes before I could get the money back.

They are a bit baggy. The tongue keeps bending and not straight, protruding through the laces. I’m not very impressed with them. My son doesn’t complain from them being uncomfortable though

I usually buy M&S uniform only but chanced these shoes. I am a Clarks lover and I can honestly say I was very surprised at the quality of these trainers, stylish and really well made. Will be buying again for the next school year

Failed Velcro rip tape after 3 months

At first they were great, but as others have said, the rip tape failed within 3 months. The velcro has torn off the strap and they're not working. Very disappointing given the last two pairs of M&S School shoes lasted the whole school year for my son. In addition, when you go to call M&S product quality Customer services about this (only a phone number available), they tell you to go into a store for them to judge whether this is worthy of a refund. Given I purchased online, it's not convenient to go to a store - there aren't many left these days! It seems very archaic not to be able to deal with this over an online chat or even email!! Not at all customer-centric service unfortunately.
