This was to replace existing mattress cover which was a well known brand, but only had elastic loops to hold it on to the bed and it never stayed in place. M&S one is excellent because it is designed like a fitted sheet.

Its Ok but the padding is so very thin that I can't imagine it will do much protecting. A positive is that the skirt elastic keeps it in place very well.
