Small king size quilt

The quality of this quilt is brilliant, it is wonderful to sleep under, and keeps you warm. It does however have a major flaw, it is too small for a king size quilt cover. There is at least six inches either side that has no quilt.

Feels like down. It is a noisy duvet, gives the impression of plastic. However grandson slept well in it. Was a second choice, the one I wanted was out of stock. Rather pricey for a 4.5 single duvet.

I bought this for my son who is an HGV driver. He loves it. It is very soft, light but warm enough for the summer, and drapes around him well. Excellent quality too.

I am very happy with this duvet. It is light and warm enough for summer but feels really cosy too. I have already recommended it to one person.

I’m allergic and can’t have down or feathers, which my husband much prefers. This is a fantastic solution, crumples and softly falls around you like down, but no wheezing and itching! The only thing I would say is that the 4.5 is pretty warm for a summer quilt.

Bought it thinking it would be lovely and cosy , it is nice but so noisy , am nearly afraid to move with the thought I’d wake my baby in cot beside me. My partner thinks it sounds like a plastic bed sheet, have currently purchased another duvet elsewhere so it’s a waste of money.

Lovely feel - waaaaay too warm for 4.5 tog
Originally posted on marksandspencer.com (UK)
The feel of this duvet is lovely. We have the 10.5 tog for winter months, but found that we really only need this in the depths of winter as my husband and I were both getting too hot. We thought that the solution was to purchase the 4.5 tog as a replacement for our lighter duvet but we found that it was way too warm beyond March. We’re so disappointed as the feeling of it is lovely. We’ve had to bring our old duvet (also 4.5 tog) out of retirement and so it seems such a waste of a new duvet.

Lightweight AND Warm. My husband struggles with weight of bedding on his legs. This is perfect. Plus the Cotton cover is far better as a breathable layer of natural fibre rater than polyester. He says it's super cosy. Highly recommended.

Bought as an extra to warm my husband's side of the bed over a double down duvet! It was so light and airy that he hardly knew it was there, but was warm all night and didn’t pinch any of my side! Very successful! My only quibble was the bulky and expensive carrying case which was smart but unnecessary. I returned it to the store hoping it could be recycled.

This is wonderful. It really does feel like down. I like the crinkly cover too. You get the warmth of a higher tog duvet without it being heavy. So happy I purchased it

Lovely duvet - but...

I'm very happy with this duvet - it's warm and comfortable. However, I do have a problem with the measurements as all of my duvet covers are much too big! Your website gives the duvet size as 89" wide x 87" long but it actually measures 84" wide x 85" long. My M&S king size duvet covers are 90" wide x 85" long, so wouldn't be a perfect fit anyway! There is so much extra cover fabric that the quilt moves about within it, to the extent that I'm going to have to take it in at the sides.

Have been using a 10.5 tog feels like down through the winter and it was so warm and cosy but far too hot in the recent weather so bought the 4.5 tog for the summer and it is fabulous! Really good quality and very comfy, just right.

wanted a light Duvet ,4.5 tog, after reading the reviews on the others that M&S were selling this came out the best, being the cotton outer cover came in as 100 percent cotton, after been on the bed for a couple of nights so pleased i chose this on you don't know you have one on so light.

Our new 4.5 Tog Duvet

Recently bought this because the one we had, from a reliable well known outlet, was of such poor quality. This time we went for a king sized (5 foot) wide duvet although our bed is a standard one of 4’-6” wide. The extra overhang helps to ensure neither of use becomes uncovered during the night. Great purchase. If we find it necessary to buy a 7.5 Tog for the winter, it will definitely be from the same range as this one.
